If someone says "SEO is dead" one more time then I'll....

Prepare for another major shift in SEOland.

Google is rolling out SGE (Search Generative Experience aka Google’s Chatbot) for some users who do not opt in to the Google Search labs SGE feature.

They’re still testing SGE to a limited amount of users in the US.

But the reality is, it’s coming.

Which means, there will be a limited amount of real estate for organic listings in the future.

Which means, brands are going to start competing harder with eachother for those limited organic spots.

Meaning, possibly investing more in content and backlinks…

The stakes are high.

But don’t forget, Google can’t afford to KILL organic SEO.

Why?

Because they are in the business of making money.

And they make money from showing their ads on many content sites (from organic listings).

How else are they going to show their ads from their advertisers aside from YouTube and Google’s display network?

The phrase “SEO is dead” has been thrown around every single year now.

It’s tiring to read at this point.

That’s what Google wants all the skillful SEO marketers to believe.

But even after 20+ years, it still unsurprisingly comes down to two MAIN aspects for long-term SEO success.

Content being unique, transparent, to-the-point, credible, trustworthy.

and

Backlinks being niche-relevant from high-traffic DR/DA/TF sites that are in good standing with Google.

Whether it’s bought, earned, or even prayed for.

That’s the main formula.

It’s a simple concept, but often times, tough to execute because of budget constraints or simply not having the skills to write about the topics.

That’s all today from my thoughts.

Hope I didn’t bore ya!

Until next time,

Patrick from SERPpro.
