Google's "Helpful" Update Strikes Again, What Now?

Google's just rolled out another update, and I'm here to break it down for you.
Tons of sites are seeing significant drops across the board.
It's absolutely MAYHEM.
So how can you recover, maintain or grow your site during these Google updates?
Let's dive into the essentials:
What's New?
Back-to-Back Updates: Just after the August 2023 core update, we've got the "Helpful Content" update.
Duration: This will roll out over the next couple of weeks. Expect some SERP volatility.
Key Changes:
Focus on Originality: Google emphasizes original, helpful content tailored for users.
AI Content Acceptance: The guidelines subtly hint at a shift towards accepting AI-generated content. In fact, according to Authority Hacker's survey: 85% of marketers are already using AI for article writing.
Crazy stat, I know.Expertise Matters: Content doesn't necessarily need to be written by an expert but should be reviewed by one. Hire an expert on Upwork, and pay them to go through your content to validate it.
Freshness: Avoid artificially updating content dates without making substantial changes.
Subdomains: Irrelevant content on subdomains should be blocked from indexing.
How to Adapt:
Grade Your Content: Use Google's guidelines as a checklist. Grade your content based on quality, originality, expertise, user experience, and transparency.
Use ChatGPT:
Step #1: Feed ChatGPT all the Google Helpful Content guidelines
Step #2: Copy & paste your content, and ask ChatGPT to grade your content based on Google's guidelines.
Step #3: Improve your articles based on the feedback you get.Prioritize Affected Pages: If certain keywords or pages take a hit, focus on improving them first.
Patience is Key: Recovery might take months. It's a marathon, not a sprint.
